This Friday, June 1, 2018, a breakdown affects Visa payments across Europe.
“We are currently experiencing an outage that prevents some Visa transactions in Europe from being processed. We investigate the case and work as quickly as possible to resolve the situation. We will keep you posted. “
The HSBC bank indicates:
“We think there may have been some recent problems with Visa payment processing. From what we understand, there are still intermittent problems, but the services are slowly overlapping. ^ SP »
We will discuss this in the coming days once Visa has communicated more about the origin, scale and correction of the outage.
This failure is a good example of the benefit that cryptocurrencies can bring. If purists think to completely replace the aging banking system, at least we can be sure that offering an alternative means of payment will reduce the inconvenience caused by a failure of one of the networks – here Visa – traditional payment.
Do you think the Bitcoin price will rise suddenly after the Visa failure?
