SNC-Lavalin Case: Trudeau “acts like someone who has something to hide,” says Scheer

General Information

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau “acts like someone who has something to hide” in the case involving SNC-Lavalin, said Conservative Party of Canada leader Andrew Scheer.

“We asked Justin Trudeau to raise the secret to allow Ms. Wilson-Raybould to speak,” said the Leader of the Opposition on the program Trudeau le midi on QUB radio. Right now, the only version of the story we have is Justin Trudeau’s version. ”

“In my opinion, it’s clear that Justin Trudeau is acting like someone who has something to hide,” he continued. According to him, “Canadians have the right to hear M me Wilson-Raybould itself.”

We learned this morning that Prime Minister Trudeau was reluctant to lift the solicitor-client privilege forcing Jody Wilson-Raybould to remain silent.

The Conservative leader added that he did not want to live in a country where elected officials can use the telephone to put pressure on judges and prosecutors. He added that political interference was “not an option to protect jobs”.

According to him, the interference is “unacceptable”, “because we do not want to live in a country where there is a system of rules for the rich and the powerful, and another for all of us”.
