North Korea: Washington hopes for a Trump-Kim summit “soon after New Year”

The United States is still hoping for a second summit between Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to be held “soon after the New Year,” US Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo said Thursday.

“We are still working to implement President Kim’s commitment to denuclearization,” he added in an interview with KNSS Radio, a local station in Kansas, his state, while talks on this “commitment” made at the first summit in June in Singapore seems deadlocked.
