The Sûreté du Québec arrested a suspect yesterday in connection with the murder of a Hells Angels relative in Granby late last week.
According to our information, Jonathan Lafrenière-Milot, 28, is scheduled to appear this afternoon in Granby regarding the death of Cédric Dupuis-Skinner.
The suspect, who was said to have fatally stabbed the victim with a stab, will be charged with manslaughter and drug trafficking.
According to the authorities, the death of Cédric Dupuis-Skinner took place during a drug transaction that went wrong, around 2:30, on the night of Friday to Saturday.
Seriously stabbed, the death of the 20-year-old from Cowansville was found at the hospital.
The crime occurred on Authier Street in downtown Granby.
Cédric Dupuis-Skinner openly posted on Facebook as a supporter of the Hells Angels. The young man had a criminal record of possession of drugs and assault, among others.
The victim’s father, Richard Skinner, was arrested in 2016 as part of the Muraille project. At the time, the police suspected him of being one of the leaders of a narcotics sales network that controlled several municipalities around Granby.
