Harvey Weinstein reportedly tested positive for COVID-19

Fallen producer Harvey Weinstein tested positive for coronavirus in a prison in New York State, according to information from a local American newspaper.

Harvey Weinstein, who was sentenced to 23 years in prison for rape and sexual assault, has been placed in solitary confinement in the Wende Correctional Center.

Anonymous sources in the Niagara Gazette reported that Weinstein contracted COVID-19 before entering the correctional center last Wednesday from Rikers Island prison.

The New York State Correctional Department declined to confirm the information, citing privacy laws, but validated that two prisoners at the Wende Correctional Center were infected.
