Four students at Samuel-de-Champlain High School in Quebec City were suspended because they are believed to have exchanged intimate photos of a teenage girl.
The Quebec City Police Service received a complaint on December 4. An investigation is ongoing into this alleged case of possession and distribution of child pornography.
The students were suspended during the investigation, in order to avoid contact with the alleged victim, indicates the school board of the First Lordships.
Some are schooled at home or in a room away from other students.
These events are reminiscent of recent events at the Marist Fathers’ Seminary, where five teenagers were accused of circulating intimate photos of teenage girls. Three of them have so far pleaded guilty.
