Canada’s Ashley McCool earned her best score of the competition on Sunday to finish fifth in the women’s three-meter springboard event on the final day of the FINA Diving Grand Prix held in Bolzano, Italy.

Yiwen Chen led China to a 1-2 finish with 341.50 points; Xiaohui Huang (323.25) was second, ahead of Brooke Schultz (283.60) of the United States and Alicia Blagg (281.10) of England. In his international debut on the Grand Prix circuit, McCool finished fifth with a score of 251.60.
As was the case in the prelims and semifinals, the Albertan has been a model of consistency. In Sunday’s final, her best score was for her reverse dive, for which she scored three 7.0s and four 6.5s for a total of 56.00 points.
The next stop on the Grand Prix circuit will take place from 13 to 15 July in Madrid.
